Hello, lusd
It's been about a year and a half that we started developing Kaptain G. Last year, we recognised many people don't like LCoS panel because it causes some problems such as ghosting, heating and so forth, so we had to get rid of them.
It took so much time and now we need to make our decision. If we couldn't manage to make good enough goggles until October, we will abandon the project for Kaptain G and get into another product.
We want to contribute to FPV hobbies by making products that intrigue not only for skilled pilots but also beginners We want to help people who want to start this hobby but couldn't because of difficulties with this hobby. We want to make pilots look cool & stylish.
Even if we drop developing Kaptain G, other products will have fancy design & nice UX.
I want our customers to purchase Kaptain G via Amazon. Because it is the efficient way for both JEROLAC and customers.
JEROLAC is responsible for their products including delivery, customer services, etc.. In spite of pre-testing by pilots, if there was a problem with the first batch of Kaptain G, JEROLAC should cope with those issues rapidly. And this should be at our own risk at the beginning. That's why we need a middleman like Amazon.
At the moment, I can't promise to accept your preorder because we don't have a solid item yet. I am terribly sorry but I promise we will announce when we are ready or drop the project.
Thank you Elliot Yim

Hello Elliot! Thank you for your answer. It is very sad to hear that you may abandon this project. I hope it all works out and you are able to finally finish this product. I wish you the best of luck. Kind Regards,
Andrey

I'm sorry to hear about the issues Elliot. I really do hope you can bring this project to fruition. If you dropped the LCoS technology what did you replace it with? Are you attempting an OLED goggle now?

Hello, whiffles.
We will figure it out but didn't make a decision about it yet because it wouldn't be late to think about alternatives after we conclude that we can't fix those issues with LCoS panels. We have to focus on the LCoS panel for the time being.
Thank you Elliot Yim

They added a second fan to blow on the Raontech chip.

Hi, whiffles!
Honestly, not as good as we expected. We're afraid we'll going to have to revise the PCB just one last time.
Thank you Elliot Yim

Yes, we have and it didn't work in our case so we have tried other options as well. We needed to reduce heat itself in the first place. That's why we revised PCB several times and this time is the last chance I guess.

Hello, Whiffles.
First of all, I'm astonished because you just asked me on the day we just received our new revised PCB. We are about to get the PCBs ready and put together. Actually, we had built a mock-up model to pre-test before and it went well but we haven't been convinced until we get the final product.
For your information, we will start Instagram to show our development process so you will figure out how things are going.
Thank you Elliot Yim

Great news! I hope the new board works out! What's your Instagram? I'll be sure to follow. It's jerolacfpv and we are sorting out the photos we have taken so far. We have changed and applied many things and no idea where to start. Unfortunately, the new PCB we have got a few weeks ago doesn't seem to solve the heating problem. The thing is we had no problem with the test board which is in more harsh condition than the actual PCB we made this time. We will keep figuring out what went wrong.
